Here we are, six months since rebranding and launching Puzzle Media (formerly Direct Marketing Solutions) and we’re talking about how to double business sales!

There has been so much happening since we relaunched with our fresher, modern look Digital Marketing Service Agency. 

We’ve overcome pitfalls, learned a tonne, and managed to double our business sales in only six months. It’s been a fun, roller coaster ride full of highs and lows, discoveries and successes, and we wouldn’t want it any other way.

Even early on, we were fairly confident about rebranding our business because we trust and believe in what we do AND we get phenomenal results for our clients.

We LOVE supporting business owners, and organisations flourish and generate awareness for their products and services, and at the same time, grow their revenue.

Rebranding aside, if you’re planning on a big year, then there’s no better time than now to take action. Below we share some of the tips that we’ve used and implemented that have helped our business grow. 


In February Tina Hay, our founder invested heavily in Facebook Ads and Digital Agency training, joining a mastermind of global agencies with common goals. This has made a significant impact across a number of areas in the business. It’s definitely money well invested.

Content Marketing

Sharing value with our clients, suppliers, peers, blog readers, social media followers, the milkman, the dog and basically anyone wanting to learn. We do this through:

Catchy Blog Titles – Thinking about the content that people actually want to read and keeping it interesting. Through this, we have driven more website traffic

SEO Content Strategy – We have been practising what we preach more than ever. We have focussed on an advanced Search Engine Optimisation strategy to help increase the visibility of our website.

Newsletters – Regular newsletters are what we LOVE! It hasn’t affected our unsubscribe rate (something many clients are afraid of.) It has driven more enquiries as we are in people’s inboxes and in front of mind a lot more.

Social Media Strategy – We went back to basics and created an effective social media strategy. The idea was to increase our organic reach across Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn – the platforms we know our people hang out on.

Larger Google Ads Campaign 

As huge fans of Google Ads, we know it works! We’ve been testing a few different campaigns to see what works and do this by testing for three months. Following that, we apply the learning, increase the budget if needed and scale. We then focus on the next campaign by doing the same –  Test-Learn-Scale!

Increase Visibility Through Facebook Ads

We wanted to experiment with some of the new Facebook Ad features, so again, we put our money where our mouth is and invested in Facebook Ads. We used paid Facebook Ads, retargeted our customers and shared value add content.

More Regular Networking

Although Puzzle Media is a Gold Coast Digital Marketing Agency, we see the value of face-to-face networking. Rather than doing just ad-hoc networking, we realised that having a visible face of the company gives it a more personalised touch resulting in trust and comfortability. We’ve become part of a weekly networking group and building of referral partnerships.

More Sales Calls To Double Business Sales

We have established an impressive database of clients over the last nine years, and we are continuously adding to the list. For the past six months, we have made a conscious effort to pick up the phone more to talk to previous clients and prospects. It’s amazing how many business owners hate speaking on the phone, but it really can make a difference.
